HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We currently have a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Investment Specialist to join our team
The role is focused on supporting Global, Securitised and Sterling fixed income products - with a focus on HSBC bank’s proprietary channels as well as 3rd party institutional clients. The individual will also have a key role in championing the Global, Securitised and Sterling Fixed Income product offering and will ensure an effective “link” between the portfolio management teams, distribution (both locally and globally), RFP, CP and various client segment teams
Whilst the individual will work closely with the portfolio management team, the role is primarily focused on supporting sales, RFP and marketing activities associated to the capability, as well as supporting the Senior Investment Specialist covering the asset class in achieving the objectives attached to his/her function:
Responsibilities
? Act as an ambassador and advocate for the investment team in front of clients, media and internal stakeholders
? Proactively promote assigned FI Capability with relevant distribution channels
? Provide regular training/key insights/sales arguments for sales teams on key strengths and develop effective messaging for overcoming obstacles
? Proactively spot strengths and weaknesses to drive consultant positioning for competitive capabilities
? Provide content to answer clients and sales’ requests for non-standard information
? Produce regular commentary and updates to marketing and RFP material
? Proactively drive more effectively RFPs content and marketing materials
? Produce thought leadership to include written materials for external publication
? Provide forward-looking direction for the evolution of capability
Requirements
? In depth understanding of bond markets, trends in the industry and the competitive environment
? Fixed Income experience is essential
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Good diplomatic skills and enjoys working with people with high standards
? Able to handle multiple tasks at once
? Fluent in English, other languages viewed as beneficial
? Experience in creating marketing and RFP collateral for fixed income strategies
? Good knowledge of office tools and Bloomberg
? Strong demonstrable experience and relevant industry qualifications – CFA, IMC etc…
? Programming knowledge would be a plus
