EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree with multiple course work in one of the following areas: Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two years of professional experience in juvenile court programs or related social services work are required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Valid Texas Driver’s License and compliance with the City of Houston policy on driving (AP 2-2)
SELECTION / SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED
The selection process will involve application review and/or interview. Department may administer skills assessment test. Bilingual applicants applying will be subject to skill testing.
Serve on a team of Juvenile Case Managers for a truancy prevention and intervention program designed to provide case management and support services to students and families who are considered truant. Using individual judgment and discretion, provides identification/assessment, truancy intervention, and community-based referrals to social services for juveniles and their families.
