WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in senior leadership and:

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce or HR-related discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience of relevant progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
  • 6+ years of Human Resources leadership experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered
  • 2+ years’ HR generalist experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align and implement HR and organizational development strategies
  • Current working knowledge of legislation, labour and employment law, human rights legislation, and related areas
  • Strong understanding of talent management and organizational development
  • Strong business acumen, including well-balanced strategic and tactical agility with the ability to provide thoughtful, progressive and strategic guidance
  • Exceptional communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive change and innovation in workplace culture

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President Talent and Culture, the Director of Talent and Culture is responsible for leading the Talent and Culture administration function for South Country Co-op. This position is responsible for implementing Human Resources strategies, programs and the initiatives in the organization and providing input into the development of organizational Talent and Culture strategies. This position collaborates with the leadership team to ensure consistent alignment of Human Resources programs and practices across the organization and is responsible for the development of policies to support the key activities and programs.

The Director – Talent & Culture will be:

  • Accountable for providing operational excellence and responsible for developing and maintaining Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Partner with Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute HR and Talent Management strategies
  • Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding.
  • Oversee performance management and employee relations.
  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Design and implement talent and culture strategies and programs
  • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Foster a vibrant organizational culture that upholds our values, vision and mission.
